Eurasian Patent Attorneys
The Eurasian Patent Organization continued promoting its collaborative work with the Eurasian patent attorneys and sees it as an important corporate commitment.
Twenty-seven new professionals from Moscow, St Petersburg, Perm and Kazan passed their certification tests and were certified and registered as Eurasian patent attorneys to complement the industry in 2017.
The Eurasian patent attorneys represent all the states party to the Eurasian Patent Convention.

The Eurasian Patent Organization traditionally sees personal communication and modalities of cooperation with patent attorneys as a major focus.
On the eve of World Intellectual Property Day, the Eurasian Patent Office management and professionals hosted a meeting with Eurasian patent attorneys on 25 April 2017. The event drew the attendance of leaders and specialists from patent attorney firms, independent patent attorneys from Eurasian Patent Convention Member States and various regions of the Russian Federation. Sharing the meeting also were representatives of the editorial boards of Russian intellectual property periodicals, candidates for Eurasian patent attorneys and other interested parties. Eurasian Patent Office specialists made presentations on corporate operations relevant to the Eurasian patent attorneys' profession and new modalities of cooperation with the industry. The meeting attendants had an engaging exchange of views on the collaborative initiatives between the patent attorneys and the Eurasian Patent Office. Also, they looked into the future to advance and improve the intellectual property enforcement system.
As a way of strengthening the performance and quality of its information resources, the Eurasian Patent Office conducted targeted training workshops in 2017 for Eurasian patent attorneys and other interested parties.
Thus, the Eurasian Patent Office conducted information technology seminars in April and September 2017 focused on the specificities of architecture, access, functions, services and search capability of its IT solutions, i.e. EAPO-ONLINE and EAPATIS. The events drew the attendance of patent attorneys and patent professionals from Dennemeyer & Associates S.A. (Luxembourg), BIOCAD Biotechnology Company, ”Sotex” Pharmaceutical Company, Neva-Patent IP law firm and self-employed IP entrepreneurs.
