Dear Professor Blinnikov,
October 2000 marks the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Eurasian Patent Organization.
On the occasion of this memorable event, I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to the Member States of the Eurasian Patent Organization, to the Eurasian Patent Office and last not least to you, personally. The founding of the Eurasian Patent Organization was an important step for maintaining and further developing a unitary IP system in the Eurasian region.
The establishment of an interstate regional patent system existing alongside with national patent schemes has significantly contributed to promoting the technical progress and intensifying the international economic relations of its Member States. It is my conviction that the Eurasian Patent Organization will further strengthen the Eurasian economic area also in the future, working for the benefit of applicants not only from the Member States but also from all over the world.
Please accept my very best wishes for the future success of the Eurasian Patent Organization and be assured that I am looking forward to continuing our good cooperation.
