Following the launch of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) as an International Searching and Preliminary Examining Authority, a series of educational trainings will be held on the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) system. The first webinar will take place on September 26, 2022.

Seminars and trainings will be held jointly with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Webinars will be held in Russian, participation in webinars is free.

Joint WIPO and EAPO seminars are recommended for Eurasian patent attorneys, practitioners, national applicants, employees of national IP offices of the member states of the Eurasian Patent Organization.

The first regional webinar “Demonstration of electronic filing of an international application through the ePCT portal” will be held on September 26, 2022 at 11 am (Moscow time). Participants will be demonstrated the algorithm for filing an international application through the ePCT portal and explained the features of the portal for preparing and filing a PCT application. The demonstration will be hosted by Olga Krysanova (pictured), Program Officer, PCT International Cooperation Division, Patent and Technology Sector, WIPO.

At the end of the webinar, attendees can comment on the presentation and ask questions.
