On September 9, 2019, a solemn ceremony of rewarding the winners of the Eurasian Inventor Award was held in the course of the celebrations dedicated to the 25th anniversary of signing the Eurasian Patent Convention (EAPC).

The Eurasian Inventor Award was conducted by the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) with participation of the national IP offices of the EAPC Contracting States for promotion the Eurasian patent system and invention.

The Eurasian Inventor Award was presented in four nominations.

The winners of the Eurasian Award in the nomination, established to encourage invention in certain areas of technology, were the inventors from the EAPC Contracting States – the most active users of the Eurasian procedure of patenting inventions and significant contributors to the innovative, economic and social development of their country:

in the category “For invention in the field of protection of human life and health” – the team of inventors of the Institute of Control Systems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the team of inventors of the Republican Unitary Innovative Enterprise “Science and Technology Park of BNTU “Polytechnic” (Republic of Belarus);


in the category “For invention in the field of development and improvement of production technologies” – Armen Vardanyan (Republic of Armenia);

in the category “For invention in the field of skill-intensive and advanced technologies” – the team of inventors of the Republican State Enterprise “National Center for Biotechnology” under the Science Committee of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the team of inventors of JSC “Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems” (the Russian Federation);

in the category “For invention in the field of technologies that improve human life quality” – Mehribon Sultanov (Republic of Tajikistan);

in the category “For invention in the field of information technologies and means of communication” – Maxim Abalyaev (the Russian Federation);

in the category “For long-term inventive activity and active use of the Eurasian Patent System” – Jyrgalbek Sarymsakov (Kyrgyz Republic).

The heads of the national IP offices of the EAPC Contracting States congratulated the inventors of their countries and presented the Award together with the honorary title the Winner of the Eurasian Inventor Award.

The Eurasian Award in the nomination established to reward foreign inventors and applicants was presented to the Swiss company Novartis International AG, which specializes in the development of innovative medicine and has filed more than 550 Eurasian applications.

The Eurasian Award in the nomination “Patent Law Firm” was presented to Gorodissky & Partners Law Firm, which is the most active professional representative of applicants before EAPO.

The Eurasian Inventor Award was presented by EAPO President Saule Tlevlessova.

Winners of the Eurasian Award in the category established to encourage inventors under age of eighteen , became young inventors offered an original method to solving a technical problem:

Jamil Samir gizi Alizadeh, Alesker Yalchin oglu Tarverdiyev (Republic of Azerbaijan) – the authors of the creative project “Method of water purification by means of mobile bioplato”;

Zhanasyl Zharkyn gizi Bakyt (Republic of Kazakhstan) – the author of the creative project “Rescue robot for evacuation of people and animals from flooded areas”;

Ksenia Belyaeva (the Russian Federation) – the author of the creative project “Wave energy device”;

Andranik Voskanyan, Artur Akobyan, Yervand Terteryan (Republic of Armenia) – the authors of the creative project “Robot for inspection of inner surface of pipes”;

Nilufar Giyoeva (Republic of Tajikistan) –the author of the creative project “Method for determining the presence of sucrose in chocolate, method for determining impurities in chocolate “;

Indira Kalimullina (the Russian Federation) – the author of the creative project “Energy unit”;

Artem Petukh (Republic of Belarus) – the author of the creative project “Stand for diagnostics and cleaning of fuel injectors of gasoline engines”;

Kjara Posttillone (Kyrgyz Republic) – the author of the creative project “School timer”.

The Eurasian Inventor Award was presented to the young inventors by the representatives of the national IP offices of the EAPC Contracting States, as well as EAPO and professional community of inventors.
