On October 20, 2010 a delegation from the World Intellectual Property Organization consisting of Alejandro ROCA CAMPAÑÁ, Senior Director-Advisor, Global Intellectual Property Infrastructure Sector visited EAPO. From the EAPO side the delegation was represented by Khabibullo Fayazov, Vice-President, Marina Kryukova, Director, International Relations Department, Vladimir Sirotyuk, Director, Dataware Department, and Oksana Vlasova, Leading specialist, International Relations Department.

The purpose of the visit was to analyze the current status of cooperation between the WIPO and the EAPO in the area of exchange of information and to discuss a draft of the Memorandum of Understanding between EAPO and WIPO in the area of patent information and dissemination of patent documents.

The Parties expressed their willingness for further development and strengthening of cooperation on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding and agreed to prepare a Work Plan for 2011 under the Memorandum.
