On November 25, 2020, a videoconference meeting of the Working Group on the creation of the Eurasian system for legal protection of industrial designs was held according to the decision of the Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization. Representatives of all Contracting States of the Eurasian Patent Convention (EAPC) and the Eurasian Patent Office took part in the videoconference.

The participants of the meeting discussed the proposals of the EAPC Contracting States on the draft Part II “Industrial Designs” of the Patent Regulations under the EAPC and the Statute on Fees of the Eurasian Patent Organization for legally significant and other actions taken in respect of applications for Eurasian design patent and in respect of Eurasian design patents. The meeting participants exchanged views on certain issues of legal protection of industrial designs and shared their experience in examining applications for industrial design patent.
