From the 11th to 13th of September, 2012, delegation from the Eurasian Patent Office visited Yaoundé, Republic of Cameroon, on the occasion of the Fiftieth Anniversary of founding of the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI).

Within the scope of events organized by OAPI, various sessions and round tables related to the development of Intellectual Property, took place. Of particular importance was the Ministerial conference held on September 13, 2012,where speeches were given by the Ministers of the States Party to the African Organization of Intellectual Property, invited representatives from International and Regional Organizations and Offices, Unions and National Patent Offices, such as the World Intellectual Property Organization, Eurasian Patent Office, European Patent Office, African Regional Intellectual Property Organization, The International Union for Protection of New Varieties of Plants, Office for Harmonization of the EU internal market, National Institute of Intellectual Property of France, USA Office for Patents and Trademarks etc.

In his speech the Head of the delegation of EAPO vice-president H.F Fayazov on behalf of the President of Eurasian Patent Office conveyed sincere greetings on such significant occasion and presented Director General of OAPI Paulin Edou Edou with commemorative gift.
