A Toyota delegation encompassing Mr Kato, Director, Foreign Application Dept., IP Global Business Div., and Mr Fujita, Deputy Director, Foreign Application Dept., IP Global Business Div., accompanied by Mr V.V. Kirillov, “Gorodissky & Partners” Law Firm, visited the Eurasian Patent Office on 23^rd November 2015.

The Japanese delegation’s EAPO counterparts in the meeting included managers and specialists of the Examination Department, Department for Patent Information and Automation as well as International Relations Department.

The purpose of the visit was to know more about EAPO operations and Eurasian patent procedure for exploring opportunities and advantages of patenting Japanese inventions in the Eurasian region.

The EAPO professionals briefed the Toyota representatives on the EAPO performance, Eurasian patent granting procedure, Eurasian patent system benefits and EAPO information and search systems. Also, the guests received answers to their queries during the meeting.
