November 7, 2016: the EAPO Delegation, headed by EAPO President Saule Tlevlessova, participated in the seminar “The law and legality of transactions in Russia and Eastern Europe” in Tel-Aviv, upon invitation from the organizer of the seminar, international law firm Perl Cohen, which is specialized in the field of intellectual property and patent law.

The EAPO representatives made speeches with reports and presentations during the seminar for business and science sectors of Israel.

In her welcome speech EAPO President Saule Tlevlessova presented the statistics of Eurasian application filing and highlighted the great potential for growth of number in applications from Israel filed through Eurasian procedure as well as the advantages of Eurasian patent for Israeli applicants. Head of Appeals, Oppositions and Quality Control Division Ms. Aurelia Cheban and Head of Production and Publishing Group Mr. Iakov Pechenin spoke about the advantages of Eurasian patent and the existing electronic services, which EAPO provides applicants and patent holders with.

The EAPO speeches provoked vibrant discussions and vivid interest of the seminar attendees. After her speech, EAPO President and delegation members answered the questions of representatives of scientific and business sectors, patent attorneys and IP specialists.
