A meeting of representatives of EAPO delegation with representatives of the EUIPO was held on the margins of meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva.

The parties discussed the current state of affairs on the preparation of Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation defining the mechanisms of interaction between the offices for the implementation of joint projects in examination, administration tools, development of information infrastructure of the offices, staff training, dissemination of knowledge in the field of intellectual property and other areas of activity.

The parties discussed the possibility of mutual visits, including an introductory visit by EAPO specialists to the EUIPO in order to gain experience in creating a regional system of legal protection of industrial designs.
