The EAPO signed a number of international agreements with its foreign partners at the 65th Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of WIPO Member States.

A Memorandum on bilateral cooperation was signed with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Bilateral cooperation will include the following aspects: promotion of the Eurasian patent system, experience exchange to improve regulation, improvement of the examination’s quality and the qualification of the professional team, and implementation of educational programs in the IP field, IT cooperation, and exchange of patent data.

The memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation between the Eurasian Patent Organization and the African Intellectual Property Organization was extended.

The parties agreed to cooperate in the following areas: IT cooperation and exchange of patent data, internship of patent examiners, exchange of experience on the functioning of regional systems for industrial design protection, sharing OAPI’s experience as a signature to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs, exchange of experience on dispute resolution in respect of regional IP objects.
