The Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO AC) held its thirty-eighth (eleventh extraordinary) session at EAPO’s headquarters on August 9 – 10, 2021.

The attending delegations represented all EAPC Contracting States, as well as the delegation of the Eurasian Patent Office headed by President Saule Tlevlessova.

EAPO AC Chairman Mirzo Ismoilzoda, plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Tajikistan, led the meeting.

The main issue on the agenda of the extraordinary session of the EAPO AC was the election of the EAPO President. Candidates for appointment to the post of President of the EAPO were presented by the plenipotentiaries of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation in the EAPO AC.

According to the voting results, the Administrative Council of the EAPO elected a candidate from the Russian Federation, the head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property Grigory Ivliev to the post of President of the EAPO. Powers of Grigory Ivliev should come into force on February 11, 2022.
