Grigory Ivliev stressed the intention of the Eurasian Patent Organization to develop cooperation with the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The Head of Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Swailem personally congratulated Grigory Ivliev with the assumption of the post of the President of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO). The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the Eurasian Patent Organization and the SAIP and the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Grigory Ivliev spoke about the advantages and features of the regional patent rights protection system, EAPO educational programs for examiners, the development of the Organization’s digital services for applicants from all over the world, as well as the Organization’s intention to create a common patent examination environment.

The EAPO President also paid a visit to the exhibition pavilions of the member states of the Eurasian Patent Organization – the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia. During the tours, the EAPO President noted that most of the innovations presented by countries at EXPO 2020 DUBAI already have patent protection, including with the help of the Eurasian patent.
