On December 8, 2020, a greeting statement by the President of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) Saule Tlevlessova was broadcasted at the opening ceremony of the 60th ordinary session of the Administrative Council of the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI), which was held in a hybrid format in Lome, the Republic of Togo.

On behalf of the Eurasian Patent Organization Saule Tlevlessova greeted the participants, noting the importance of the OAPI activities for the African region. The EAPO President shared information on the achievements of the Eurasian Patent Organization over the last year and expressed confidence that the partnership between the EAPO and the OAPI will contribute to the expansion of mutual understanding and convergence of the two regions in IP matters.

The online greetings to the jubilee meeting were also sent by the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (the ARIPO), the Intellectual Property Office of the European Union (EUIPO), the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the IP offices of Singapore, Canada, Morocco, China, and France.
