On March 14, 2022, President of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) Grigory Ivliev and Assistant Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Marco Aleman discussed the implementation of a joint project to expand the capabilities of technology parks in the field of intellectual property commercialization in the Eurasian region.

As part of the first phase of this project, which started in 2021, WIPO prepared and presented an expert report on the assessment of IP commercialization practices in technoparks in the Eurasian region.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on the possibility of submitting the report to the member states of the Eurasian Patent Organization for review and preparation of opinions and proposals. Based on the feedback received, the EAPO and WIPO will further develop a plan for the practical implementation of this project.
