Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus

Patent for invention EA № 043528

A unique invention created by Belarusian engineers that makes up for the main drawbacks of existing electric powertrains. For example, when the motor rotation speed (power and speed) increases in many electric vehicles, the noise and vibrations of the mechanical gear reducer grow rapidly. This indicates that the dynamic load on the gears increases. As a result, it reduces the reliability of the electric powertrain’s mechanical part, limits its maintenance capabilities, and increases the cost of repairs.

This unique development involves several embodiments or modifications to the power electromechanical drive, depending on the operation conditions and the type of electric vehicle.

The proposed technical solution significantly improves the reparability of the electromechanical traction gear and reduces the product’s cost. The embodiments of the Belarusian invention protected by the Eurasian patent can be used for electric vehicles with traction drive power up to 45 kW and motion speed up to 120 km/h.
