On June 23, 2009 the Delegation of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) visited the Eurasian Patent Office. 

Seminar on Legal Protection of Industrial Property Rights, Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), and Search Possibilities in EAPATIS Databases took place at the Training Center of the National Institute of Intellectual Property from April 21 to 23, 2009 in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. The Seminar was organized by the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) in cooperation with the Committee on Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Participants of the seminar were mainly specialists in the field of intellectual property: representatives of large enterprises and organizations, educational institutions, scientific and research institutes of Kazakhstan, patent attorneys, examiners of the National Institute of Intellectual Property and its regional representatives.  

From March 31 to April 3, 2009 the Eurasian Patent Office took part in the 12th Moscow International Salon of Industrial Property "Archimedes" which was held at the Cultural-Exhibition Centre "Sokolniki" in Moscow. 

The 21st (6th extraordinary) meeting of the EAPO Administrative Council (AC) was held on March 30th and 31st, 2009, in Moscow, the Russian Federation.
The meeting was attended by representatives of all the Contracting States of the Eurasian Patent Convention – plenipotentiary representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Patent Department of the Ministry of Economy and Development of Turkmenistan and members of the delegations. Representatives of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO) attended the meeting as observers.
